Luxury Apartments / Student Housing / Lofts
Apartment buildings have always been a fundamental part of city living but are now on the rise in smaller towns and suburbs. There is always interplay between efficiency of space and comfort in living; we aim to integrate the two in a functional way without compromising, to create a space that is both economical and well designed. We have designed apartment complexes and redeveloped historic buildings into beautiful living spaces. Our design team has experience with multi-occupancy buildings, tower blocks, semi attached apartments, collegiate villages and student housing on and off campus. We offer affordable solutions to design problems and can assist through the entire process, from site selection to construction drawings. The design potential for an apartment building is almost as unlimited as the design of the apartment itself, consideration needs to be given to parking, storage, laundry and exercise facilities as well as elevators. Apartment types often vary within an apartment building or complex but they are generally controlled by factors such as accessibility restrictions and development goals.
Mixed-Use Buildings blend a combination of residential, commercial, cultural, institutional and industrial; those functions are physically and functionally integrated this idea is becoming increasingly popular with both downtown and suburban areas. We tailor our response to design based on your unique needs and leverage our experience in residential, office and retail to give you the best value.
Those that develop, own, and lease mixed use look for market power destinations that excite people and pull them in. These structures are designed to maximize space and create a building that is more integrated with the fabric of the community.
Mixed-Use projects are a reflection and response to an urban fabric. As designers introducing a new building, we provide functionality, flexibility, and beauty to match local environments. Our design language reflects textures, materials, colors, scale, as well as overall character and style of a neighborhood.
The success of a mixed-use development arises from a design that demonstrates an in-depth understanding of all building types, including commercial office, retail, hospitality, serviced apartments and residential spaces. The goal should be to integrate these mixed usages with viable forms of transportation so that they form mixed-modal urban hubs that create a sense of place and easily accessible destination points for cities throughout the world
The growing popularity of the mixed-use community seems to be an architectural solution to the issue of automotive isolation from our physical environment. According to the American Planning Association, a mixed-use development is a community that “blends residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, and where appropriate, industrial uses.” Mixed-use communities allow residents to live, work, dine, and play in a location that they can navigate on foot, increasing resident’s connection to their environment and the people they see every day. The mixed-use community is a reaction to the forces that isolate people, facilitating shared human experience in a location specially designed for that purpose. When residents are able to get out of their cars and walk to work or the cafe, they are more likely to explore, more likely to pop into the new wine bar on the way home. And if they bump into a neighbor at the wine bar, so much the better for increasing the feeling of connectedness within the community.
We love to create places where communities, groups and different types of people can come together. These types of spaces can be found in residential communities, Apartment tracks, planned communities and serve as great additions to any large-scale development.
Club Houses are an essential part of any community. Additionally the space provides a great location for residents to socialize with each other and is an opportunity for an architect to create a signature design for the development. This is a classic structure that can be as simple as a lounge area for residents, with adjacent rooms for fitness equipment and a work center. We create unique and elegant interiors that are unique and suits the setting of the surrounding area.
